You remember my last blue glaze that blistered at cone 6? Well I had a big batch of it mixed up and a couple of batches of older glazes that were low in the bucket so I figured why not? I just dumped everything together. The other glazes appear to have raised the firing temp up enough that it doesn’t blister at cone 6. That’s what I hoped would happen. Plus, even though this is a mix, I have a good idea what went into it and I think I can replicate it without problems.
The glaze is about 47% local materials. The clay body is my dug clay reclaim which is at least 85% local.
I still need to do some basic testings to ensure it’s stable but wow what a result. I love love love this one. Cone 6 oxidation.
