Small blue bowl

Description

This small bowl holds 8oz and is 5 7/8 in wide and 1 3/4 in tall.   Would make a great ice cream bowl or desert bowl, or even just a change bowl.   The bottom is trimmed. Microwave and Dishwasher Safe.

This is a commercial clay, and the glaze is a local material glaze that is 43% local.

The item is hand thrown on the wheel, dried to leather hard and then trimmed. When it is completely dry, it is bisque fired (low fired) and then dipped in a hand mixed glaze. The final firing was to cone 9 (about 2300 F with a very slow rise towards the end). After the glaze firing, the bottoms are sanded smooth.
