Description
This bowl holds approximately 16 oz without being overly full and is 7 1/8 in wide and 2 3/4 in tall. Perfect for canned vegetables or as a large cereal bowl. The bottom is trimmed. Microwave and Dishwasher Safe.
The clay body is Trinity White Stoneware and the glaze is a local material glaze that is 31% local.
The item is hand thrown on the wheel, dried to leather hard and then trimmed. When it is completely dry, it is bisque fired (low fired) and then dipped in a hand mixed glaze. The final firing was to cone 9 (about 2300 F with a very slow rise towards the end). After the glaze firing, the bottoms are sanded smooth.
