Adding 5% EPK to the bucket of the black tub clay that already had 22% neph sye added did indeed jump the absorption from 1.5% to over 3%. The test tile was less shiny after firing but still shiny. I decided to reprocess that big black tub and remove alot of the sand. I’ve been working on that this week.
The bucket of reclaim tested at 6.67% absorption. I’ve got a test tile dried but forgot to add it to the kiln I’m firing today. Dry shrinkage is 7.5%.
The purple tub has an absorption of 3.5%. I will be adding 5% neph sye to it.
